3 months old

Logan is growing and changing so fast! He coos and smiles all the time and is really working hard at rolling over. He's not quite there yet but I'm sure he'll get it soon. He has found his hands and I'm afraid he is going to be a thumb sucker. He doesn't take to the pacifier well, but he loves to find his thumb. :-) Most nights he is giving me 6 straight hours of sleep, but every once in a while he'll be up every 3 hours. I'm hoping those are just growth spurts. The weather has been warming up, so we have gone on our first few walks this week. Yay for Spring!! Enjoy the 3 month pics!

Adoption Update
We met with our adoption specialist last night and she basically informed us that it is likely that we will have a referral for a child before we are eligible. What this means is that we will move to the top of the list and sit there until we are eligible to adopt again, which is 6 months from the birth of Logan or June 10th. Once we are eligible, we then have to tell them we are ready for a referral. At that point we would become active again and would most likely get a referral within a month or so. Typical time between a referral and travel is 2-3 months; however, the courts in Ethiopia close for 6 weeks during the months of August and September so it is most likely that we will travel no earlier than late September. Personally, we are hoping for October or November, as the older Logan is the better for us to be able to leave him while traveling. We know God already has a plan for how this will all work out and we will put our full trust in Him. Thank you for your prayers!

LOGAN JACK FOUST IS HERE!

We are proud to announce the birth of Logan Jack Foust born December 10, 2009. He was born at 9:20 p.m. and weighed 8lbs 7oz and measured 22 inches long. The labor and delivery went great! The best part was that I only pushed for 40 minutes and he was out! We have been home since Saturday night and everything is going really well! He sleeps most the day and likes to be awake from 10pm - 2am but that's Ryan' shift (except when I'm feeding him in between:) ). He had his first pediatrician appointment yesterday and the doctor gave him an A+. When we left the hospital he weighed 8lbs 1oz. and at the appointment he was up to 8lbs 6oz. She checked his eyes, ears, heart and lungs and everything looked healthy. God has truly blessed us with an amazing little boy and we thank Him every day for the opportunity to be Logan's parents. Here are a few more pics:
